charged forward for the victory. The 1 1/16

of Rich Meadow Thoroughbreds from Westminster,
MD bred Slew Valley in Maryland. Joining Mr.
Hindman for the festivities were his wife
Dixie, good friends Mr. and Mrs. Scott Walsh,

McAlpine with Silver Bird |
We
have a lot to look forward to in June including
the Labatt Woodbine Oaks on Sunday, June 13th.
Heading the list of competitors for our stable
is the Glorious Song Stakes winner, Silver
Bird. Owned by Jim McAlpine, Silver Bird ran
twice this season finishing second in the
Fury Stakes and Selene Stakes both times to
Eye of the Sphynx. She is ready to take that
one on again in the Oaks.
Peter Ho has an undefeated filly by Tejano
Run out of Token Gift by Lyphard, named Hong
Kong Dancer. Victorious in both of her career
starts, this three year old was purchased
as a yearling at the select sale of Canadian-Bred
yearlings at Woodbine. Although she did not
race at two, Hong Kong Dancer has proved to
her owner that it has been worth the wait.
Touchnow won her maiden race against winners
at Woodbine on May 8th at a distance of 7
furlongs. She is by Pleasant Tap out of Nowdance
and is bred to go two turns. Owner George
Farr is anticipating a winner effort by Touchnow
in the Oaks.
